Provencal Colorado Tour
The Provencal Colorado of Rustrel is a natural site made of old ochre quarries, this site has been shaped by nature as human. This site, which extend on more than 30 hectares, have been used from the end of the XIX century up to 1992. The ochre workers were digging in order to extract natural color pigments and by the same time were generating shaped landscapes!
We start the day by the Provencal Colorado Tour and by the discovery of the provencal “sahara”!
Then, we head to Banon where a lunch break well-deserved is waiting for us! Banon made its reputation on its local food specialties such as the Banon AOP goat cheese, its dry sausages but also its authentic and original bookshop “Le Bleuet”!!! Banon is a small provencal village that has managed to preserved its authenticity.
In Banon we enjoy a lunch break on a terrasse!
And of course we don’t leave without a book from Le Bleuet!
If you wish to organise a day between friends, from 2 up to 14 people, we will welcome you and take you on a visit of the Provencal Colorado, Banon and other beautiful villages of Provence!
